Not exact fit

Bracket had to be modified to be mounted properly, the nozzle for engine vacuum had to be sanded smaller to accommodate the hose fitting. Canister top appeared to be swollen slightly

Not Quite Up To OEM Specs

I bought this for a vehicle listed to fit. This filter box is either longer than the original or the endcap is bowed out too much for and exact fit into the metal bracket which holds the filter canister onto the truck. You either have to grind out the slot on the filter where the mounting bolt goes or you have to compress it down (using a good bit of force) while someone else installs the mounting bolt and washer. It's not too bad of a modification but it's worth noting. What's a bigger concern is that the smallest hose fitting on the filter housing is too large for the smallest vacuum hose to fit onto. I had to use a Dremel tool and sand the fitting down quite a bit to get the hose to fit. This could be a big deal for some who expect this thing to be a direct fit and honestly, I can't figure out why it was made this way. This replacement filter is considerably cheaper than the OEM one ($50 as opposed to $180) so I suppose you get what you pay for. So.........heads up potential buyers.

BAD CANISTER... HOPE THEY WARRANTY IT..

2008 chevy avalanche 5.3i bought this on 10/24 and installed it on 11\4. i blew out all my lines as i replaced the fuel pump at same time ( nothing in old lines, all clear )..i went to go fill my gas tank and the pump will not let fuel flow into tank because of this canister is clogged or broken. i was only able to pump 5 gallons in 20 minutes of time so i could get home. i removed and replaced with my old one and now pumping is much better as it only stopped maybe 3 times during a 25 gallon fuel fill ( 31 gallon tank in truck.) in order to install this canister the mount bolt hole needs to be lengthened as others have said on the reviews. so i did that. SO HOW DO I GET THIS REPLACED OR REFUNDED???
